Why did I make this website?

First, because there is simply no better way to satisfy one's ego than to look at a website with one's own name on it. And it's remarkable how cheap registering a domain is these days.

Secondly, because as I was building a library of the research I've written, talks I've given, events I've hosted and so on, I realised I could quickly spin this up for myself, and it might help solve one other funny problem.
